Our mission is to reignite the spirit of Gurmat Sangeet and empower today’s youth to embrace and experience Gurbani and Shabad as living guidance from the Guru. Through this divine tradition, we aim to nurture discipline, devotion, and joy in the lives of our children and Sangat.
Gurmat Sangeet is not just music — it is a divine path to connect with Gur Shabad. Through the power of Raags and Kirtan, children and youth develop a deep, lifelong bond with Gurbani, experiencing it not only as words but as living guidance from the Guru. By learning traditional instruments like Rabab, Taus, Dilruba, and Jori, students connect spiritually, emotionally, and mentally with Shabad, strengthening their Sikhi values while nurturing discipline and devotion. In today’s fast-paced and stressful world, Gurmat Sangeet offers peace, balance, and joy. It helps relieve stress and anxiety, improves focus and concentration, and allows children to express themselves creatively while staying rooted in their heritage. More than just an art form, it becomes a source of inner strength, giving the younger generation freedom from distractions and helping them build a purposeful, spiritually enriched life.
In today’s busy and technology-driven world, children and youth often face stress, anxiety, and pressure from studies, social media, and everyday challenges. Gurmat Sangeet provides a beautiful way to find balance and peace in the midst of these struggles. The soothing sound of Raags, the rhythm of Jori, and the melody of string instruments like Rabab, Taus, and Dilruba create a calming effect on the mind and soul. When children immerse themselves in Shabad Kirtan, their energy shifts from worry to positivity, filling their hearts with joy and contentment. Singing and playing Gurbani in Raags helps regulate emotions, lowers stress levels, and opens the door to inner happiness. Through this practice, Gurmat Sangeet not only becomes a form of learning but also a source of healing, giving children the strength to overcome challenges with a peaceful mind and a grateful heart.
Gurmat Sangeet is not only spiritually uplifting but also scientifically proven to enhance focus and concentration. Learning and practicing string instruments such as Rabab, Taus, and Dilruba stimulates the right side of the brain, which is linked to creativity, attention, and memory. When children engage with these instruments while singing Shabad in Raags, they train their minds to listen carefully, follow rhythm, and stay disciplined. This practice strengthens mental clarity, sharpens concentration, and helps kids perform better in their studies and daily life, all while staying connected to Gurbani.
In today’s digital age, children are spending more and more time on phones, tablets, and social media, often losing touch with real-life creativity, focus, and spiritual growth. Gurmat Sangeet offers them a meaningful alternative — a chance to discover joy, discipline, and freedom through music and Shabad. By learning instruments like Rabab, Taus, Dilruba, and Jori, kids not only stay engaged in something positive but also build confidence, self-expression, and a sense of purpose. This helps them step away from unhealthy screen time and reconnect with their true selves, their community, and the spiritual guidance of Gurbani.
