About Jori Teacher
Jaskirat Singh is a highly skilled Tabla/Jori teacher, Kirtankaar, and Hazuri Ragi at Shri Darbar Sahib, bringing over a decade of experience in Gurmat Sangeet. Since beginning his musical journey in 2012, he has accompanied some of the most respected Ragis, including Bhai Randhir Singh, Bhai Narinder Singh Banarsi, Bhai Gurdev Singh, and Bhai Kamaljeet Singh Rababi.
He has shared his expertise as a music instructor at Sant Bhai Narain Singh Music Academy (Panipat), Akaal Sahaye Gurmat Sangeet Academy (Ludhiana), Baba Fateh Singh Academy (Sanipur), and through his own Jaskirat Singh Tabla Academy. Today, he continues to inspire and train students at Gurmat Sangeet Foundation Calgary, offering both in-person and online classes to learners in Canada, Dubai, and the USA.
Jaskirat Singh’s mastery comes from years of training under Ustad Anikbar Singh and Ustad Gian Singh Namdhari, enabling him to blend technical precision with the spiritual essence of Shabad Kirtan. His teaching approach focuses not just on rhythms and techniques, but on helping students connect deeply with Gurbani through the beats of the Tabla and Jori.
